This website allows you to create your own custom text file in png format. You change many of the options and it creates the image dynamically allowing for you. Go ahead and give it try and let me know what you think, Please leave comments and requests. I will work hard to add more to the site.

Thank you,

Create your own boot splash in Ubuntu

Now I have had a lot of trouble finding information on how to do this. I was surprised to find that on kde-look.org someone had posted a script to create a boot splash screen for Ubuntu and it worked on Gutsy as well. What I have done is modified Karl Redman's code to get my own splash screen to work. There was an error but it was easily resolved. This new script and some added notes should help you get your own bootsplash to work. Here is a screen shot of the bootsplash screen without text.

What some people might not be aware of is that under "Internet Options" Microsoft has given us the ability to also have multiple homepages each opening under it's own tab.

Look at my example below in internet options.
